VNG question for 92546

I have read the many threads on this forum about VNG tests and billing. I am in need for the understanding of CPT 92546. I see some threads where offices are billing this 2 times with a 59 and 76 modifier (Medicare only covers 1 unit). One post says this is an inherently bilateral procedure, and one says the description states this test functions of left and right, so why bill 2 units? The code description does not state bilateral or right and left. We were told if we are doing horizontal and vertical, 2 units is appropriate and most payers will pay 2 units. I’m part of a Neurology practice but do VNG testing in our office and is looking for any info on this code to see if we are correctly billing. Please provide any info on this code and/or appropriate units to bill and rationale. Thanks!!!!!
