Previously the coder states she would have used ICD9 655.53 Suspected damage to fetus from drugs, affecting management of mother, antepartum. Mapping has led her to O35.5XX0 Maternal care for (suspected) damage to fetus by drugs. However, this has a note stating "damage to fetus from drug addiction".

I haven’t felt comfortable using that code. Any suggestions?
