Detox rev code and reimbursement rate
I am currently using 0126 and H0010 for Substance abuse Detoxification for a facility. Does anyone use any other alternative revenue codes for this level of care?
Also, has anyone been experiencing very low reimbursement rates for out of network substance abuse treatment in Washington state through bcbs regence and premera?

I am new to the substance abuse field and have a few things I wanted to run by anyone who is willing to help. I switched over from cardiology, integ, and podiatry and am now billing for a detox facility, residential and php facility. I was curious if you could help me with two things.
First where can i find the type of bill code for box 4 required for bc claims? I have been searching all over their website and can’t find anything. I read one thread that said to use 11X but i’m not sure if that’s correct or if it would be 86X since we are not a hospital?
The other question I have is the previous billing company was billing intake assessments with the code H0001 and H0002 and they are all denied from all the insurance companies or reimbursing at a really low rate. Would I be able to use an e/m code such as 99408 or 99409? or is there a better code for an initial assessment and also a discharge assesment?
I would really appreciate the help.

IOP, PHP, Detox and physician Billing
When the IOP, PHP, and Detox levels of care are being provided at a free standing facility, would it be considered unbundling if a psychiatrist billed separately for a psych eval and psychotherapy codes on the same dates of service that the IOP/PHP/ Detox were billed?

Hello. Can anyone give me some advice on coding for rehab centers. This facility would provide group meetings (DBT and relapse prevention), therapy by LISW, medical direction and detox on site by MD. Also, if patients stay overnight is this considered inpatient? I work in a psych and addiction outpatient office and my doctors are considering ideas to expand. We have many suboxone patients. Any advice or direction to resources that would help me with this is appreciated.
United health care detox rev codes denials
Is anyone seeing a trend for denials for auths description does not match codes.
I have been billing uhc 0126 h0008 – detox sa, and now denied due to uhc shows description sa detox residential.
Is there a more effective rev code to bill uhc for detox loc. ?

Outpatient Detox, Florida BLue
There is an ongoing issue with Florida Blue where they will not pay for outpatient detox. It is a covered service by their home plan and it processes as biller error, but in actuality its due to Florida Blue assigning $ 0 on the fee schedule. There is no issue for Blue card plans in which the home plan prices, just when the local prices. Is there an appeal we can do? We bill S9475 under rev code 0944 or 0955.
Subacute Detox Services
Does anyone have any experience billing/coding Subacute Detox services to private insurances? If so, what codes are used and how is it billed?
