An ultrasound was performed solely for gestational dating which resulted in 9 weeks. I find the following diagnosis codes: Z33.1 , Z33.3 , Z34.xx , Z36 , but none are specific to dating. The O26.84 codes don’t seem appropriate either. Is there a diagnosis code specific for gestational dating? Thanks!

Supervision of high risk pregnancy codes and sequencing with multiple gestation codes
Hi, my practice uses O09.89_ on 90% of their encounters (Supervision of other high risk pregnancy). I think this is a history code as opposed to a current pregnancy code. Is this the case?
Also, does a multiple gestation code need a O09 (Supervision of high risk pregnancy) code before it or can the O09 be excluded since multiple gestation is considered high risk on its own?
Thanks in advance,
Joyce
Multiple Gestation diagnosis coding questions….
I have a couple of questions regarding multiple gestation diagnosis coding….
1. If one (or more) fetus is a demise, do you still code for the type of gestation they originally were? ie:nunber of amnion and chorion
2. If one twin is a demise what is the correct 7th digit to use for the remaining twin? Does it stay the same throughout the pregnancy, or does it revert to 0?
Thanks, I appreciate your input!
