Our OB physician group and another local OB group has recently decided to share call coverage on the weekends. The physicians of both groups have decided that the practice that providers the antepartum/postpartum care should bill the global charge. I disagreed with this and believe we need to separate the charges and bill antepartum/delivery/postpartum by the provider that performed the service. I’ve found a couple insurance policies that support my case but can’t find anything from Medicare or ACOG. Does anyone have any information that could help support my case?
