At our facility we do only prenatal and post natal care; no delivery.

My office is having a disagreement about when the 59425/26 codes start. Are there always three office visits charged before the pregnancy codes start? What if a patient comes to the 1st visit with a positive urine test, then the office orders an ultrasound (done the next day), and at 2nd appointment, the U/S and positive pregnancy are discussed. Shouldn’t the 59425/26 code start at the second visit? :confused:
