My group is going to be starting up our own ASC. I have not billed for this before and have a few questions. I know we bill Medicare out on a HCFA1500. Will I be billing for the facility and for the surgeons separately? If I can bill for the surgeons separately, is there a difference in fees from outpatient hospital and ASC’s for their charges? I had found a fee schedule on Medicare’s website for ASC’s and was just wondering if someone could help with the breakdown of the fee headers. All help is appreciated. Thank you!
