I have recently took on the billing/coding job for one of my chiropractic friends, however this would be my first go at it. I have been a CPC for over two years but all of my experience has been in billing/coding for hospitalist for inpatient and outpatient services so this chiropractic gig is a new playing field for me. I want to make sure that I study up so can ya’ll give me some tips on some of the best resources I can use out there that will help me get a better grip on how to make sure I am doing the best I can for my friend. Thanks in advance for any help, I so truly appreciate it!

chiropractor BILLING

Has anyone else heard that now chiropractor is only time. I know it is timed, but they are stating if we do a 97140 5 mins and then a 97012 for 25 mins. We can only bill for the 97012 for one unit and we cannot bill for the 97140? Any help would be great. I have looked at Medicare (First Coast Service Options) I cannot find any change.
