how to bill pending results?
Say a office or hospital visit is 1/1/2018 but results of the lab or results of the pathology (to rule out cancer, etc.) is not back until 1/5/2018. Do I code/bill what I know the day of service or can I wait for those results & code/bill those?
Coding for Diabetes with A1C results
Hello, I have a question in regards to HCC codes. If a patient comes in and the provider states the patient is there to follow up on the DMII, and the provider documented that the patients’ A1c levels are @ a 7.1, can the coder then documented Diabetes Type 2 with Hyperglycemia, or does the provider need to specifically state "Patient has diabetes type 2 with hyperglycemia.. This seems to be a constant topic of discussion in our coding dept, so I am looking for some answers and references if possible.

Sleep Study Results
Good morning, all!
I am auditing a chart where the patient came in for results from a sleep study test. I’m questioning whether an office visit should have been charged. The physician billed globally for the sleep study – is going over the results with the patient included in the global (or interpretation) payment or can the provider bill an office visit? Any advice, and especially reference materials, would be greatly appreciated.

Exam results from 10/28/17
Has anyone from test date 10/28/17 received their results? I sat for the CIC and I know it can take at least 10 days but my status has been in grading since Friday. Just curious if others are receiving results.
exam date 10/21/17….still waiting results
Anyone test on 10/21/17 that has received results? My status is "received" since last Thursday. I called today and was advised they are behind and it could be up to 3 weeks before I know my score. This is beyond frustrating!
Cpc exam results
I took my CPC exam on 8/21 and so far the status has said "in transit to AAPC" and today it finally changed to "received"… How long did it take to get your results once AAPC received your test??? I’m dying to know my results over here!!!!
DX after lab results
Pt seen as she was concerned about a bacterial infection. Pt had no symptoms, only her concern. We swabbed. Two weeks later we received confirmation the pt did have an infection.
Can I add a dx to the office visit based on the lab results? I understand how it works with pathology/bx samples, but I not clear on something like this.
