Where to find additional code description
Hello!
I am not sure where to find this additional information when coding, but for example, the AMA CPT book states that 29888 is the Arthroscopic ACL repair. The AMA just gives that description, yet I am told it includes the graft. Where do I look to find out if a code includes additional procedures like a graft or mesh..etc when the AMA book doesnt give further description?
Is there another program/reference I should be searching in addition?

CPC-A Looking to find part time coding opportunity
I have recently passed the CPC exam and am looking for a part time opportunity. I am very eager to begin my career and medical coding but am having a difficult time seeing as I have no experience. If given the chance, I know I could put my coding skills to work for you and your company.
Active forums-where can I find answers? Not pleased with this forum
This seems to be one of the least helpful forums that I’ve ever encountered. Are there any where questions get answered? Perhaps my questions/posts are only something that I experience? I search the posts and so many are just questions with no responses. There is so much experience in this group. I expected more help.
Please advise as to where you are finding help.

Path states BENIGN LYMPHOID PSEUDOPOLYP – Can’t find a code.
I’ve researched and researched and just get mixed information.
We have to code path results, if positive. How would this be coded – benign lymphoid pseudopolyp of the colon. Also, maybe because it’s so many years later – I can’t find a pseudopolyposis code in ICD-10 2018 (there is an old thread in these forums that says use pseudopolyposis)…there’s a K51.40 inflammatory polyps of the colon, but based on my diagnosis – it doesn’t sound inflammatory so I’m leery of using that. Is it a benign neoplasm of colon?

Unable to find coding or billing position
I currently have my cca from ahima and cpc from aapc. I have only one year experience coding and it has been a long time since ive coded. I work full time for a hospital and have experience in all other financial revenue, but cannot find a coding position, as most require many years experience. I would not even mind getting into billing, but i have no experience, just coursework. Cannot afford to give up my current position to do an externship. How does anyone get positions without experience? Even my old department medical coding will not hire without at least 3 to 5 years hospital coding. I had only one. Very frustrating to keep up with ceu’s and fees, knowing i will never be able to use my credentials to get a job. Would love to find a part time remote billing job or coding and keep my current position.
