Bill Medicaid for Lactation/ breast feeding classes.

Can professionals who are licensed with Lactation, bill Medicaid for classes provided at the county community center.
If so what codes can be used for billing. So far, my team has HCPCS code S9443 (Lactation Classes, non-physician provider, per session.) Can we use this code, please advise. Thanks in advance.

Nevada Attorney General Aaron D. Passage declared that Moving Forward Counseling Solutions, LLC (Moving Forward), a Medicaid supplier business based out of Las Vegas, was condemned for Medicaid extortion. The misrepresentation was submitted between January 2016 and December 2016.

Does anyone have any documentation that states status codes (T or S) are allowed in California Medicaid? These codes are allowed per CMS, however, I need documentation that states MediCal accepts them.

Good Afternoon All,

My office is having a struggle with Getting cooks to pay both Test A and B. I call and they advise they can’t tell us how to bill it because they don’t guarantee payment. Has anyone had this issue with this specific Payer? What was your solution? This is how we bill 87804(QW)(paid), 87804 59,QW. We receive denials stating inconsistent modifier on the 87804(59):(:confused:

I keep getting denial code 02287- Delay Reason Code 11 ( other delay) Requires manual review. When billing this out my system states that a denial code is required, and this is the only code that fits the scenario of the claim. How do I correct these to receive payment? Our team has been having trouble reaching Oklahoma Medicaid to obtain claim status and dispute denials? I’m being told when they reach out they aren’t able to reach a live representative. And when they go online to the provider portal they aren’t able to send an inquiry on denials.

FQHC Coding – Telehealth – Medicaid

Hello,

Can FQHCs bill for Telehealth for Medicaid patients? I know according to Medicare guidelines we are not authorized to provide distant site services. And because we are located in a Metropolitan area we cannot bill for an originating site. I found a very outdated unclear guideline for Medicaid but I would like confirmation.
