Being overweight is not always an indication that it’s because you are eating too much or you are not exercising enough. It can simply come down to a medical condition and the very first thing you need to do concerning your excessive weight is to make an appointment with your doctor for a consultation.

To begin with, it’s very important that all medical issues regarding be overweight be ruled out before you start any type of diet regime. Many medical conditions can cause obesity and one of the most common could be problems with your thyroid. It can make you either underweight or overweight if it is not functioning correctly. It’s important that you eat enough protein and not too many carbs. Sugars consumed in excess will turn into body fat quickly and this is something that you want to keep in control of.
