I am looking for assistance with HOPD billing for corneal transplant, Specifically the cadaver tissue procurement and acquisition V2785. Based on MM9486 #13 states this will be paid separately when used in corneal transplant procedures in the hospital outpatient dept. Our carriers are continually bundling this with the much lower APC rate. Is rev code 812 correct? Any insight would be greatly appreciated. Thanks all

Liver Transplant Procedures
Per encoder for liver transplant CPT code 47135 the donor bile duct is approximated to the recipient bile duct or to a limb of small bowel for drainage. I found information from 2009 stating that if roux-en-Y choldedochojejunostomy is performed to bill additional code 47780 or 47785. I am under the assumption that roux-en-Y is included in transplant code 47135. Also prior to anastomosis the portal vein was occluded with thrombus. Can we code for a portal vein thrombectomy? Please advise. Thank you.

The patient has cirrhosis for which the patient underwent liver transplant in 1999. The patient later in the year of 2000 developed diabetes mellitus. The physician is stating DM(post liver transplant). What diagnosis code for diabetes mellitus post liver transplant be appropriate.

I need help finding a code. This is inpatient. Patient admitted for kidney transplant due to hypertensive esrd. i can only find z94.0 transplant status but he has not had it yet that is why he is admitted. he has the transplant in the hospita. what should my principle diagnoses be?
