9 Digit Mandated Service Code for Pennsylvania
Hello! I’m looking for assistance locating a 9 digit mandated service code for Pennsylvania. I work at an inpatient acute psychiatric center. We are trying to submit a w/c claim on a UB and the carrier is denying requesting an itemized statement this is service code. The only thing I have been able to find out is that all digits are numbers. Any help would be greatly appreciate!

We have an anesthesia group, both MD and CRNA, performing services as inpatient as well as outpatient, and we were wondering how other groups are handling the anesthesia charges.
1.How are the CRNA cases for PA Medicaid handled and are they reimbursed?
*charges with CRNA alone=are they all adjusted off?
*charges with both MD and CRNA on the case***how are these charges billed to Medicaid?
2.How are the anesthesia services for procedures in outpatient settings handled? Per Medicaid they don’t pay 22 POS.

VNG billing in Pennsylvania
We do VNG’s in our office and we bill….
92540-1 unit
92537-4 units
92546-59

All used to pay, but now we are having denials that 92537 should only be 1 unit when we do warm/cold in both ears (4) and see denials for 92546 and 92547. Medicare is the biggest payer we see deny. Can anyone PLEASE help breakdown how Medicare wants these billed to them. I called and what I was told is they basically only allow 1 unit per code, so it would be 92540, 92537, 92546 and 92547 all at 1 unit. Please help!
