Assist Surgeon on C-Sec?

I have read through a bunch of threads on here, and the responses seem to be all over the place. I’m thinking maybe the answer is situational? Here is my scenario:

Provider A provides *almost* all antepartum care.
Provider B provides some antepartum care. *Pt is high risk and had more than 13 visits*
Provider A delivers, and provider B assists.
Provider A provides antepartum care.

Best billing practice for said situation?

If provider A bills 59510, can provider B bill for assisting on the c-sec?

Any help is appreciated!
Thank you!!

Coding Modifiers for First Assist Nurse Practitioner

I am getting Medicare denials for the use of AS when filing claims for a NP that first assists for a Neurosurgeon. Denials state inaccurate or need for different Modifier. I researched and found some info to use AS and 80. This combination also got denied. I have gotten info from other billers that they have no problem getting paid with the use of only AS. Another stated she had to use AS and 81. Any comments from other coders on this?

Ercp with physician assist

I have a new provider who doesnt have permission yet or complete the hospital requirements to perform an ercp on her own. Our established physicians "assist" her in the procedure.
How do i submit this bill? Hospital says she cant bill for it? Can i use a modifier? Do i submit the claim with established provider as the rendering provider? Documentation needs to have both doctors names or each need to do a separate operative report?

Please .. And advise will help

thank you,

C-Section Assist

If a provider assists in a c-section do they need separate documentation from the primary surgeon documenting their roll during the procedure or is the primary surgeon listing them as the assistant enough documentation to bill for a c-section assist?

TAVR Assist Surgeon issues

Medicare denying cpt code set: 33361-80,Q0 missing modifier. When condition merits 3rd surgeon ( assistant), is anyone getting past this denial of missing modifier? Cant get passed this first rejection so documentation can be submitted to validate assistant. Rep states its the modifier that is causing code set to reject. no other modifier describes Assistant ( MD ) but 80… correct?

thanks for any/all insights.

Seeking compliance individual to assist office

We are looking to outsource a compliance person to help get our office in order. We need someone to come in and evaluate our practice for possible compliance issues and steer us in the correct direction. Does anyone have any suggestions of someone that might be considered for this? We are in Alabama so would certainly love to find someone close to our area.

Thank you in advance!!
